Made by Sekiryu Touen, Third generation Seikiryu Natsue Uemura.Â
This type of Tokoname ware tea pot is called a Chaho è¶éą
This is a more modern design of handless Japanese tea pot, developed in Tokoname, that is a hybrid of a Shiboridashi and Hohin. There are three sakura flowers carved into the lid of the pot and the body has a textured design.
There is a ceramic strainer in the lid of the pot so that you can conveniently hold the lid in the correct place when pouring. Getting even the very last "golden drop" from the pot.Â
The shape and the inner strainer makes this pot easy to use with one hand, left or right. The Chaho is easy to clean and the lack of handle also makes it convenient to store.Â
