This Tokoname Kyusu is much larger than our other pieces which makes it perfect for brewing for larger groups, for dark teas, hojicha or herbal blends.
The pot has a triangular spout making pouring smoother and helping to prevent drips.
These pots are made from iron rich clay that is said to mellow the bitterness and astringency of the tea. Each piece is carefully crafted and fired.

About Tokoname: Located on the west coast of the Chita Peninsula facing Ise Bay, Tokoname City in Aichi Prefecture is known as a pottery town nationwide. Tokoname ware is counted as one of the six oldest kilns in Japan. Pottery has been made here since the 12th century.
