This blended bancha has been made using Kinpouen's traditional hoji-bancha. They have carefully selected the producers and production methods of the rest of the ingredients to make a natural health tea. This blend contains Oki black soybeans, Izumo barley, Eucommia leaves ( aso known as du-zhong) & brown rice grown using duck farming methods. There is almost no caffeine making this tea suitable for all ages.
This is a well balanced, nutty roasted tea with a mild comforting flavour. If you like the flavours of genmaicha, mugicha and hojicha this is a tea well worth trying.

A note from the farmer about creating this tea:
"I used to think, "I wish there was a caffeine-free tea that I could drink with my baby, that was safe and secure, and easy to prepare by simply adding hot water..."
In the summer of 2009, an appearance on a radio program became the catalyst, and
thanks to the cooperation of local producers and many other connections, Goen Musubi was born. Weare where we are today because of the support of so many people. I truly believe that
"connections" are important and something to cherish . I want to deliver a moment of peace and relaxation through tea, where conversations and happiness can spread ... Goen Musubi is a healthy tea with a rich aroma, easy to drink, and a gentle flavor. It is a blended tea that pairs well not only with Japanese sweets but also with Western sweets such as cakes and cookies."
About Kinpoen Seicha:
Established in 1953, Kinpoen Seicha is currently headed by Chisato Notsu, a single mother to three children. She runs the farm with her father, Kimio, and younger sister, Yuri. Situated in Oi Town, surrounded by abundant nature with views of Mt. Daisen on the shores of Lake Nakaumi, they are a full-time tea farm that uses spring water from "Menui," the first of Shimane's 100 Famous Waters, to produce tea in their own tea.
