Among other health benefits, Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid or GABA is thought to have a calming affect on the nervous system. Gabba is found in tea when it has undergone a specific type of fermentation and processing where the GABBA builds in the leaf.
Kanes tea have worked closely with partner farms in Shizuoka to create this high level GABA tea through a process of withering rather than fermenting.
