A high quality, rich gyokuro coming from one of the most famous source regions of Uji-cha, the village of Wazuka.
The Gokou cultivar is an unregistered tea cultivar from Kyoto Prefecture which is mainly used to make gyokuro or tencha. This cultivar works very well with shaded cultivation methods and so it is uncommon to find it in sencha or other teas.
This gokou gyokuro has a wonderful stong aroma and rich, creamy umami flavour.
Steeping Notes: 5g | 50-60° | 1min | 100-200ml
Re-steep the leaves up to 4 times. Gradually increase the water temperature and lessen infusion. Eat the leaves with ponxu, dashi or on rice after steeping.
