Founded 150 years ago, the pottery manufacturer Shinzan Gama Yamatsu continues to challenge itself to create products that fit modern times while preserving tradition .

The truncated conical tea utensil "Frustum" won Germany's prestigious international design award, Red Dot Design Award 2020. The edge that switches halfway down the body of the clay pot is a shape that has been seen since ancient times on iron kettles.

The conical shape of the teacup makes it easy to hold. The slightly concave shape towards the mouth naturally brings the nose closer to the cup, allowing the aroma of the tea to be enjoyed more.

We will continue to manufacture products with integrity, valuing the relationships of trust with our customers, suppliers, and everyone involved with our company."
