This bancha has been made using the same traditional method since the founding of the tea farm. It uses large, mature tea leaves harvested in autumn. The leaves have a yellowish-green colour and can be enjoyed with much hotter water than other green teas.

Rather than roasting, these leaves have been dried naturally resulting in a mellow and light low caffeine green tea.

Steeping Notes: 4g | 400ml | 90°C | 2-3mins

These steeping notes are only a guide. We recommend playing with the brewing times and water quantity with these leaves to find your favourite infusion.

The farm recommended to brew it with cold water during the summer.

About Kinpoen Seicha:

Established in 1953, Kinpoen Seicha is currently headed by Chisato Notsu, a single mother to three children. She runs the farm with her father, Kimio, and younger sister, Yuri. Situated in Oi Town, surrounded by abundant nature with views of Mt. Daisen on the shores of Lake Nakaumi, they are a full-time tea farm that uses spring water from "Menui," the first of Shimane's 100 Famous Waters, to produce tea in their own tea.
