Izumo Hama Bancha
80g
This bancha has been made from the large, mature green tea leaves that are harvested in autumn. There is a blend of leaves that have been roasted for different amounts of time giving the tea a light roast flavour with delicate earthy and sweet notes. The tea leaves are blended with "hama cha" (Kawaraketsumei | Cassia nomame) a traditional plant with bean like pods that have a nutty flavour when roasted.
Hama-cha, also known as Zaracha, has been consumed as a tea for many generations in Shimane as it has high nutritional content. This tea is often enjoyed with meals in the Izumo region and is thought to help give your skin a healthy glow.
