About the Farm: This small tea garden is owned and run by husband and wife farmers Masashi and Eri Harashima deep in the mountains of Yabe Village, Fukuoka, Japan. The 3rd generation farm specializes in high-grade mountain-grown sencha and gyokuro.
Masashi has received Japan's top agricultural prize, the Minister's Award, three times, Masashi is one of Japan's top farmers. He is currently teaching his son how to both cultivate and produce the highest quality tea.
"In order to produce high-quality tea leaves, we place our greatest priority in ensuring that our trees are healthy. We employ a unique farming method using hand-picked fermented organic fertilizers (bokashi fertilizers) and adjusting each step according to the specific weather conditions of the season or the year, in order to achieve the highest standards. Amid the crisp air in the mountains and the chirping of the birds these healthy tea leaves grow and produce premium tea brimming of sweetness and flavour."

Tasty!

This is a very nice hojicha powder. I like to try mine in multiple ways and I have found that I need less powder than for some hojicha powders in the past as it is strongly flavoured. I prefer it best as an oat milk latte, but it works well either without milk (made like a thin matcha) or as a cow milk latte. It is not a deep roast, but still very pleasant. Would definitely buy again. No issues with the service or the product.

Thank you for the detailed review. So pleased you like this hojicha

Lovely flavour.
I make mine oat milk using a frothing machine. I prefer a deeper roast flavour but this was still great.
