Vintage: Kyo-yaki Plum Blossom Chawan

This unusual chawan, matcha tea bowl, is approx 30 years old and is made by 4th generation potter Shohei Sugita of Seikanji Kiln. 

There is a cutout Houju ( wish-granting jewel ) detail carved at the front of the stand and three different depictions of blossoms around the outside of the bowl.
