Tokoname Lidless Chamiru Teapot from Yamaki Ikai
This tea pot was developed to be able to brew deep steamed teas, fukumushicha, easily. The large open space allows you to view the tea leaves as they brew in the pot as well as see the water level when brewing. The wide opening allows the water to cool quickly making it an ideal cooling jug as well as great for delicate green teas. The structure of the pot prevents the tealeaves overflowing and makes it easy to dispose of the spent leaves after brewing.
