Ohmitogei: Fruit Teapot - Mud

This Kusatsu-yaki teapot is made using local iron rich clay from the Kusatsu area. 

Mud painting: This is a unique manufacturing method in which a specially formulated mud containing iron is applied over the clay. The mud is sprayed with a sprayer to create texture and contrasting colours of light and shade.

These pots have a built in ceramic strainer.
