Sweet Sakura Tea from Kyoto Obubu Tea is made with sugared cherry blossoms (the kanzan variety) by their partner in Odawara, Kanagawa. These cherry blossoms are quite flexible used blended with teas or in cooking or baking.

• Production notes: The sakura blossoms offered from Obubu Tea are grown, harvested and pickled in the region outside of Odawara city, just an hour by train from Tokyo

Brewing Instructions: Add hot water to 3-5 grams of blossoms and allow the blossoms to open. Add water to taste preference.

About the Farm:

Kyoto Obubu Tea Farms is a Japanese tea brand owned and operated by tea farmers in the town of Wazuka, Kyoto. Started by Akihiro Kita and Yasuharu Matsumoto in 2004, the company began as an agricultural social venture. Akky and Matsu's aim was and still is, to teach tea lovers both in Japan and overseas about the value of tea farming, and to contribute to society through tea.
