This hojicha from Kyoto Obubu Tea Farm has been created with roasted bancha green tea blended with toasted brown mochi rice

60g | 20g

This hojicha has a rich woody flavour with sweet and nutty aroma. The roasted green tea has very little bitter or astringent flavour and the roasting has removed most of the caffeine from the leaves.

Steeping Notes:  5g | 1min | 90°C | 100ml

The rice used in this genmaicha is unpolished brown "mochi-gome". As teh rice is unrefined it holds more vitamins and minerals. The rice is toasted making it crunchy and flavourful.

Tencha recommended this hojicha to me as I can't have much caffeine in the afternoons but I still want to feel like I am having a proper cup of tea.
It has a lovely roasted flavour with light sweetness and the delicious toasted rice flavour.
Definitely recommend!
