Single Cultivar Roasted Wakocha from Kirishima, Kagoshima
JSA organically produced Japanese black tea from a small family-run farm, Koukien.
The roasting process softens the mouthfeel of the black tea and gives it a well rounded slightly toasted flavour.
This single cultivar, Yutaka Midori was grown at the foot of the mountains in Kirishima, Kagoshima Prefecture. Sisters Yurie and Akane Kawaguchi are continuously working hard to make their black teas more delicious and enjoyable.

About Koukien: Koukien Tea Garden is a small family run farm where the whole family has been producing and selling tea since their great-grandfather's generation started making tea about 60 years ago.
Located in Makizono Town, Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, the small farm produces a nice variety of tea and the family manages their farm with care from harvesting to processing their own tea leaves.
