Bowl Shigaraki-ware sake bowl and cup set from Hechimon
This set has a beautiful grey finish with a hand-painted cream brush stroke.
Hechimon is based right below Lake Biwa near Kyoto in Shiga prefecture, Japan. The history of Shigaraki ceramics dates back over 1,200 years.

- Cups: approx 7.5cm dia | 4cm height
- Due to its handmade nature, each piece is slightly different from the others.

About the brand: Hechimon is a registered trademark of Marui ceramics. Shigaraki is counted as one of the six ancient kilns in Japan and is said to have a long history of 1260 years. In 1976 (Showa 51), the country designated it as a traditional craft. The original climbing kilns set up by Marui in 1925 still stand today.
