This is a vintage Shino-ware Japanese pottery tea bowl made by famous potter, Shoji Shimizu around 50 years ago.
The signature of the potter is carved on the base of the bowl.
The original wooden storage box with the signature of the potter are also included.

About Shino-ware: Shino-yaki is Japanese pooerty, stoneware that originated in mino Province, present-day Gifu Prefecture.
This stype of pottery emerged in the 16th century, but the use of shino glaze is now widespread, both in Japan and abroad. It is identified by thick white glazes, red scorch marks, and a texture of small holes.
