Vintage: Momji Tajima-ware Chawan

Wheel-thrown tea bowl made from a high-fired stoneware coated in light slip.  The interior of the bowl has a beautiful momiji, maple leaf, imprint. The warm glaze changes in intensity around the surface of the bowl. 

The stamp of the potter can be found on the base of the bowl. The clay used for this chawan is similar to that used in Shigaraki.

• Size: approx 13cm diameter | 6cm height
